K-9 Alert is an all volunteer non-profit organization. With the exception of a small amount going to pay PayPal for its service, all the money you give will go towards SAR training and/or supplies such as pager service or radios for K-9 Alert members.
For a donation of $10.00 or more we will send you, on request, our Multi-Use Field Scale. Made from a thick durable clear plastic, it's convenient 1.5x4 inch size allows it to be attached to your compass lanyard. It has: The 5 and 6 ft pace scales marked up to 3250 ft, 10 acre grids for approximating task sizes, 100x100 meter grids for both measurements and UTM positioning, also a 3 inch, 3000 ft and 1/2 mile scale. Placed at the bottom of the scale are three popular conversions: meter-ft/ ft-meters, km-miles/miles-km.
